Former Real Housewives of Johannesburg (RHOJ) star Christall Kay is thrilled to have her Kyalami home back after a long legal battle.
The reality star went into a deal with a businesswoman (who was also meant to be part of the RHOD) to sell her the house for R8 million, but the deal went wrong.
Speaking to The Citizen back in 2021, Christall said she moved out of the mansion because the businesswoman had paid a R5 million deposit.
She said they agreed on a R65,000 monthly installment to cover the remaining fee, but the buyer only paid around R20,000 a month.
Christall then sent her a cancellation notice regarding the sale agreement after she missed the instalment dates, even after she was given an extension.
“She didn’t pay an instalment and tried to pay the last amounts through a bond. But this was a cash agreement. It was never a bond agreement,” Christall said.

Home is back but Christall now left with R4 million in legal bills
The reality TV star and singer took to Instagram this week to celebrate getting her mansion back.
“Back in the Saddle again!!! Country living at its best… There is no place like home,” she wrote, captioning her pictures standing inside her home.
She told Zimoja that the legal process left her with a bill of R4 million.
“I am back in my home after two years of fighting – now I can relax and enjoy my festive season… I did not get it in the best condition, but now I can decide what to do with it,” she added, as quoted by the publication.
