I’m only back now as a better person, says married man Jub Jub
The 'Ke kopa Tshwarelo' hit maker says he will not disappoint fans and has done his best to stay out of trouble.

Hip-hop artist Molemo Maarohanye has opened up about his life since being released from prison after spending four years in an interview on SABC 2 breakfast show Morning Live on Thursday.
On why he got into drugs in the first place, Jub Jub said he was just being naughty and experimenting with different things. He further said he would not go back to that life because he had now learned from his mistakes.
“In life there’s something called ‘growth’, when it comes and when you have a one-on-one with God, trust me, there’s no way you’ll go back. I come from a spiritual background, and the only thing that has kept me going has been God. I have a spiritual connection with Him, we talk on a daily.
“I don’t want to come out and say I’m holier than thou, I make mistakes, I’m human, but I grow and learn from them. Being on that side of the path only helps me than being on the other side of the path,” he said.
He is back as a better person to try and prevent the next kid from doing the same things that he did, he added.
The rapper also addressed last year’s reports claiming he had allegedly assaulted his girlfriend by confirming that he was a married man. “I am a married man so I don’t know what girlfriend they are talking about.”
He said he had been married for a “pretty long time”.
Since his return, he has released an apology song, ‘Ke Kopa Tshwarelo’, that has been praised by his fans. In the song, he apologises to the families for the 2010 incident that he “will have to live with for the rest of my life” and “will haunt me for the rest of my life”.
He will be sharing the profits of the song with the families.
“I wanna say thank you to my loyal fans, to those who I made angry and everybody else that I disappointed – those of you that I know and those that I don’t know. I really sincerely from the bottom of my heart appreciate the love and support. And I wish the same support also goes to the families of the deceased.
“I won’t disappoint South Africa, I won’t disappoint the continent, and I’ve done my best to stay out of trouble. Life being about second chances doesn’t mean that you don’t fix whatever it is that you did and being given a second chance means you can come back much stronger from the decisions and mistakes that you’ve done,” he said.
Jub Jub was arrested after killing four children and leaving two with brain damage during a drag race under the influence of hard drugs on a public road. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison for culpable homicide. The sentence was then reduced to 10 years, and he was released on parole in January after serving four years.
