Marah Louw denies being ACM parliamentary candidate

The former Idols SA judge says the story is not true but the ACM states the contrary.

Veteran actress and former Idols SA judge Marah Louw has denied reports that she is the ACM’s preferred parliamentary candidate second only to former SABC COO, Hlaudi Motsoeneng.

When called for comment on the matter by Sunday World, Louw reportedly rubbished reports before the reporter could even finish their sentence.

“That story is not true. No comment,” said Louw before hanging up.

The publication did, however, manage to match the ID number on the list to that belonging to Louw.

ACM spokesperson Phuti Mosomane also went on record, stating that it was not possible for a candidate to be nominated without consultation and acceptance.

“IEC regulations are clear” added Mosomane.
