‘Pravin Gordhan?’ Babes Wodumo’s never heard of him

During an interview with DJ Sbu on Vuma FM on Friday morning, Mzansi’s new music sensation, Babes Wodumo, let it slip that far from having an opinion around whether Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan should have gone to the Hawks’ offices on Thursday to answer questions under warning, she didn’t know who this Gordhan guy even was.

Now nobody should expect our celebs to have an opinion on matters of national political interest, but Twitter, true to form, was quick to jump on the bandwagon to ensure that poor Babes will be known for both her cluelessness on politics as she is for her dance skills.

A number of people thought there was a far more important question, though, which was whether Gordhan knows who Babes Wodumo is – which we think is perfectly fair!

We seriously doubt that he does. He should read 8 things to know about Babes Wodumo. It’s a matter of national importance that Gordhan should be getting down to Wololo.
