Women’s Day spoils to celebrate Women’s Month

August is always regarded as a month where women should be treated like gold; well, not really ideal because women should be treated like queens every day of the year.

This year, in celebration of Women’s Day, Silverbirch at the Birchwood Hotel invited women from different walks of life to remind them how special they are.

Among the entertainment of the day, was Gavin Sharples, a comedian who wiped the depressed faces of women at the event. We laughed as he was tackling the reality of being a woman, from makeup, to nagging , talking endlessly, the list is long.

From nice fruit cocktails and cupcakes, to beautiful lunch served, attending the day of spoils at the hotel was not a waste of time.

The hotel, situated 7km away from the OR International airport, has a homely vibe, business and set in 53ha of gardens with 665 hotel rooms, 60 business conferencing venues and a Mangwanani African Day Spa. The Birchwood Hotel plays a pivotal role in the day to day business of Southern Africa – one want to permanently move in – but hey, money talks.

The 153 bedroomed Silverbirch, launched only nine  months ago, has been so well received by national and international travelling corporates, with an average occupancy rate of over 70% month on month, that the construction of another 82 rooms is due for completion by October 2015.

The Birchwood Hotel launched Silverbirch in November 2014 as a brand new concept of a fully upgraded “hotel within a hotel” developed especially to cater for the exclusive needs of their discerning corporate clients.

One of the safest hotel stay for everyone landing in South Africa.
