Wine and dine for a good cause

Support the fundraising dinner at Mozambik in Hillcrest, and help save the life of a local resident.

ENJOY an exquisite fundraising dinner at the Mozabik restaurant in Hillcrest on Monday, 1 September at 7pm in support of a worthy cause.

The dinner will be hosted to raise funds for well-known Hillcrest resident, Karl van der Leeden, who suffers from multiple scerosis (MS).

The 26-year-old was diagnosed 11 years ago, and his disease has progressed significantly since then. He is currently bedridden, but a revolutionary treatment could help reverse the disease’s progression and help save his life.

The dinner costs R200 per person and will include a delicious seafood buffet, a live band as well as exciting auctions. To help raise funds, residents can also purchase his book, Golden Boy, which tells the story of his battle with the dreaded disease. The book is published under his alias, Karl Horst.

For information on the fundraising event, call 031 765 6556 or contact Di van der Leeden for information on the book.
