Jive to the thunder

A difficult awaits punters for the meeting to be held on the Greyville Polytrack tonight but there is value to be had and the early races could be the ones to get involved in.

Jockey Keagan de Melo is a decent enough jockey and has been booting home the winners with frequency recently and Thunder Run in Race 1 could pop up at a nice price.

Blinkers were added last time out and the gelding showed improved pace and only tired very late in a better field than this.

It was also only the second run for his present trainer and if they are brave enough to try the same tactics on the Polytrack it could pay off.

Obviously the form horse and the danger is Jay Again.

Pena Palace will be hard to oppose in race 2 and looks a banker for all exotic permutation players.

The gelding is improving and should not be troubled by the slight drop in trip.

Jive Session in Race 3 was clearly in need of her last run and she should improve vastly on that effort.

If she finds her best form she should go close in this modest company who face her.

It could be the night for High Maintenance to exit the Maiden ranks in Race 4 as the gelding is long overdue his first taste of victory.

Victory looked certain for High Maintenance 100m from home in his latest effort but hanging badly late allowed Corresolve to fly up and run him out of it.

The step up in trip might be in the favour of the three-year-old Carpocrates gelding.
