Below is a list of our top 6 South African trends for the year 2014.
The Good:
- Smartphones – a part of the human population has grown an extra body part, famously known as: the Smartphone.
- Selfies – Trendy way of reminding people what you look like, every day… and sometimes every hour. You know; just in case anybody forgets.
The Bad:
- Bucket Hats – That one accessory you needed to fit in anywhere from a festival to church (Okay, not really…).
- Kermit the frog – The absolute best tool to serve or deliver insults and get away with it.
And…The Ugly:
- Twerking – Best way to get attention in the club from that cute guy/girl you’ve been eyeing all night.
- Izikhothane – Yawn… that boring trend where people buy expensive items so that they can later destroy them (In public. It HAS TO be in public! Because how else are people going to know that you’re too wealthy to have any actual use for your purchases?).
