Q&A with Mapule Ndhlovu

1.What is the biggest challenge you face regarding fitness?

Motivation on days when you don’t feel like training.

2. What is your typical daily fitness routine?

Daily routine – 5km run followed by strength training. I usually pick four to six exercises in a super set with three to four sets (rounds).

3. What are the dynamics which one should consider when choosing a partner for fitness?

Choose someone who’s stronger, faster and consistent. Most important, they must enjoy exercising.

4. What have you learnt about your body?

My body can achieve anything I put my mind to.

5.In the past, did you ever need to have a gym buddy and why?

I believe we all need gym buddies from time to time. Back then, I didn’t know what I was doing so I needed more guidance. Now, when I need a push and motivation, I’ll train with someone.

6. How important is diet when training?

I’ll start by saying diet it’s not only important when training, it’s always important if you want to stay healthy. Now to answer your question, to achieve your specific goals, your diet needs to complement your training.
