Meet Team Vitality’s reigning champions

Team Vitality, South Africa’s largest and most dynamic running and cycling club, announced their 2021 champions.

Motivation to keep moving is a team effort and this team of everyday South Africans is up to the challenge, said Team Vitality Manager Khethiwe Mlangeni.

“Our champions are influencers in their running and cycling communities. More importantly, they are the greatest cheerleaders, encouraging both new and seasoned runners and cyclists to get onto the tar and trails and put their best foot forward,” said Khethiwe.

The champions share useful information on the latest Vitality benefits, competitions, race events and unique Team Vitality rewards.

Ilse De Wet from the Western Cape

Ilse is a Running Champion and I’ve seen that nothing can stop her – come rain or shine. Ilse juggles work and a busy home but makes time for her running community. Her passion for running is clearly visible in all the running shots she posts on social media,” said Khethiwe.

“I believe in going further with our community. As a parent I strongly believe in instilling healthy habits especially physical activity in children,” added Ilse.

Lindsay Sissing is our Western Cape Cycling Champion

“Sissing’s passion for cycling is visible in the growth of his cycling community. He has taken beginner cyclists and pushed them to covering longer distances with each ride. He has planned challenges to motivate his community to pedal further,” said Khethiwe.

“I am so proud to work with our champions. In the time they’ve been part of Team Vitality, they’ve inspired people to run further, pedal harder and push themselves to their personal bests with planned weekly runs and rides in the community,” Khethiwe added.
