Body of a man found by fisherman in Crocodile River

CROCODILE GORGE – A fisherman made a shocking discovery on Wednesday afternoon when he found a dead body floating in the Crocodile River.

Mr Mxolisi Nkosi from Pienaar was fishing at the river when he suddenly saw a dead body in blue overalls. He immediately called the Matsulu Police Station but they didn’t have the necessary equipment to retrieve the body.

For two days, police have been battling to retrieve  the body.

On Friday, Bossies Community Justice (BCJ) assisted the police to retrieve the body from the rocky terrain in the river. It took the team an hour an half to finish. According to Mr Hennie Visser from BCJ, the body was taken to the government mortuary for forensic tests.
