Hundreds enjoy Christmas RunWalk for Life
Runners donned various Christmas themed outfits.

A total of 487 runners took part in the biggest Botanical Gardens RunWalk for Life event in the past three years.
“We had 187 pre entries and a further 300 on the morning,” says the manager of Nelspruit RunWalk for Life, Tracey Cresswell.
The event consisted of a 5km and a 10km run. Entrants were asked to bring a gift to be donated to Child Welfare. “We were so happy when we found that the gift box was overflowing by the time of the end of the race,” Cresswell says. “And a further R650 was donated in cash on the day.”
Cresswell says that the sport of running is very much alive in the Lowveld, with the remarkable amount of children that participated on Saturday as proof, “We had the most children entrants than ever before.”
