Fitness holds the key to feeling upbeat about life

"If our children are physically strong and healthy they will do so much better in life," he said.

It has been over two years since the much-loved life coach of Barberton Primary has introduced Big Burn Fitness (BBF) to the townspeople.

Benson Rewu, or Coach Benson as he is popularly known, is passionate about fitness and his programme involves highly energetic dancing to the beat of contemporary music, combined with many tae-bo moves.

“If our children are physically strong and healthy they will do so much better in life,” he said.
This is why he aims to get the parents involved to change their lifestyle, because once the parents join the classes it’s not long before the teenagers do too.

Although newcomers might feel that they are being pushed beyond their limits, they will enjoy every minute of it. Soon after they start this lively physical activity, they begin to feel what BBF is all about.

“It is possible to become stronger, more powerful and healthier at any age,” said Benson.
Not only does BBF give you a great cardio workout, it also involves and sculpts all your muscles, is great for burning calories and will leave you with a positive new attitude about yourself and life in general.

Benson invites Barbertonians to come and join them for a class before signing up. Classes take place in the hall of the Dutch Reformed Church from Tuesday to Thursday between 17:00 and 18:00.
