Longtom Superspar and Tops Longtom expressed gratitude towards community
Longtom SUPERSPAR and TOPS Longtom, which received the prestigious awards for the best SUPERSPAR store and TOPS store this year, say without the support of the Lydenburg and Mashshing community, as well as their loyal and faithful employees, these awards would not have been possible.
These achievements are the highest award for the Lowveld region, which extends across the borders of South Africa, Mozambique and Swaziland.
Longtom SUPERSPAR is a family business that took over the existing business on November 1, 2010. At that time the store had 80 employees. As the business grew over seven and a half years, an additional 60 workers were employed.
According to the owners, their business is based on customer service, high operating standards and the welfare of their staff. The management and staff say they serve and try to exceed customers’ expectations each and every day. Community involvement forms a huge part of this store and, although they prefer not to boast about it, they are involved with various schools, churches and welfare organisations within the Lydenburg/Mashishing/Skhila community.
