Breakfast to revolutionise business
he Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism (KLCBT) together with the Global Equipping Centre (GEC) will host the largest business event that either company have had in their past partnership, with over 420 registered guests.

MBOMBELA – The city has become one of the most-promising and fastest-growing places in South Africa. This is according to renowned international business and motivational speaker, Mr David Wilkinson, who will share his expert knowledge at the What’s Next in the Lowveld Business Breakfast at the Emnotweni Arena on Tuesday October 21.
The Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism (KLCBT) together with the Global Equipping Centre (GEC) will host the largest business event that either company have had in their past partnership, with over 420 registered guests.
Wilkinson, who is currently the CEO of the GEC, has launched 22 multinational companies, with up to R300 million generated revenue and 20 per cent net-profit successes. Having trained Fortune 500 executives, he brings both the theoretical and the practical together with an innovative flair. His 18 years’ experience as a speaker to millions across the world, has given him a unique knowledge as a motivational speaker, who can also develop and market creative business seminars and courses.
Focus points of the breakfast will include both opportunities for growth and challenges that Lowvelders can face in the coming years. This is connected to the first point that Wilkinson will look at, which is Mbombela’s rising stature in South Africa.
“One of the reasons for this is because it is like a hidden gem. There is a mystery that precedes people moving here. They normally come to the Kruger National Park to relax, but then they see that there are so many business opportunities in the city,” he said during a radio interview on Radio Laeveld earlier this month. “The bottom line is that the individuals are bringing their wealth to the Lowveld. This city is going to explode with economic potential.”
Another key point will be the discussion on economic storms and how they produce unexpected business turmoil. For instance, the 2010 Fifa World Cup was the largest economical storm to hit South Africa. There was a lot of media hype involved and that produced high expectations among business owners. The estimated revenue was far less than expected and this created a disillusionment in the marketplace.”
Wilkinson will also focus on unique expenses during his motivational talk. He stated that businesses should not spend their net profit as this is the proof of true success. Flying back to South Africa on a regular basis, he believes in the Lowveld as the majority of his clients are in our province.
“It is a unique place to do business. Here people want to do business with their friends. This dynamic networking breakfast is going to revolutionise businesses,”
said Mr Wilkinson. “With the 17 sponsors who have so graciously purchased from 10 to 40 seats each, we’ve never experienced such exponential growth in the Lowveld. We can’t wait to see what is going to happen!”
Registration will start at 07:30 with the event starting at 08:00.
Cost is R120 for KLCBT members and R150 for non-members.
