Stealing of goats a common crime in Tubatse
Local thugs seem to be targeting the livestock in trying to enrich themselves.

PRAKTISEER – It seems local thugs are targeting goats and cattle in trying to enrich themselves, in the past months there were numerous cases that were reported at the local police stations about the theft of livestock.
This past week, it was no surprise when Tubatse police recovered a stolen vehicle fully loaded with goats. The suspects were found at Ga Mashamothane village during the early hours of August 14.
The police were doing their routine patrols along the R37 road when they noticed a suspicious Nissan 1400 vehicle.They tried to stop it, but the vehicle just sped off. The police tried chasing after it, with no success.
They finally found the car abandoned at Mashifane Park, the suspects were nowhere to be found, leaving the bakkie with the herd of goats. A total of 12 goats were found.
The vehicle was reported stolen on August 12. The vehicle and the goats were confiscated and taken to the police station.The police would like to urge the community to assist with the information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.
