Case against principal linked to child pornography postponed

The primary school principal being charged with possession of child pornography appeared in court this morning.

WHITE RIVER – The primary school principal who is being charged with the possession of child pornography appeared in the Magistrate’s Court here this morning.

He briefly appeared in early in the morning. It was alleged that the court had made special arrangements for the case to be heard before 09:00, when criminal cases usually start, to avoid the media.

Representatives from various media houses were at the court to cover the case, but had to hear that the suspects had already appeared. He did not plead, and cannot be identified until he has done so.

The case was postponed to November 22 for further investigation.

According to the police, up to 50 more people were being investigated in South Africa regarding an international syndicate. To date, a total of six suspects linked to the case have been arrested.
