Tubatse’s Miss Limpopo takes pride in her title

Mmutle shot past ten other gorgeous ladies to clinch the coveted title

MOROKE – It’s been five months since Tubatse’s own Sheila Mmutle (23) won the Miss Limpopo pageant. This eccentric, beautiful Moroke-born is still proud to have been the first from the platinum town to win the prestigious crown.

Mmutle shot past 10 other gorgeous ladies to win the coveted title, and one-year bragging rights as Limpopo’s queen.

Steelburger/Lydenburg news recently caught up with the cutie, dressed in an orange blouse, blue trousers and her trademark stilettos, the confident Mmutle didn’t waste any time in sharing her happiness by winning the Miss Limpopo crown.

“Miss Limpopo was my first big competition. I previously won the Miss Ora Tshiamo (OT) pageant in 2010 and also Miss Makro charity in Polokwane. The Miss Limpopo 2013 title has really changed my life in a very positive manner – it is a great blessing.”

Mmutle doubted her credentials as a model; it was back in 2009 when her close friend Brown Lesufi persuaded her to enter the Miss Tubatse competition.

“Truth is, I was actually forced into pageants by Brown, who believed in me. He made me enter the Miss Tubatse pageant in 2009; from there I never looked back. After that wonderful experience, I saw the stage as a great platform to develop myself.”

After matriculating in 2007 she enrolled for a qualification in financial management with Sekhukhune FET College, CN Phatudi campus. She also recently completed her certificate in media consultancy with Boston City Campus and Business College in Polokwane.

“I still wish to enrol at university and further my studies, venture into business and continue being a noble friend, a loving sister, a humble daughter of Burgersfort and a servant of change in this society.”

Apart from modelling her hobbies include singing and writing poems. “I also enjoy any activity that involves associating with different people, be it culture, colour, race, disability or whatsoever. I also wish to make travelling a hobby, it is so amazing to go out there and explore different places,” she said

Mmutle has already participated in more than 17 charity projects in her short spell as Miss Limpopo. She says her biggest highlight so far was having to present an appreciation speech in front of approximately 40 000 people at the Makhado carnival. She also shared a stage with motivational speaker, HIV/Aids activist and radio icon Criselda Kananda.

Mmutle has three siblings, Kabelo (30), Moremogolo (21) and Phomelelo (17). She went to the local Ikhwezi Lokusa primary school and finished her secondary studies at a private school, Mafadi Independent Academy.

She says her motto in life is, “It all starts with a dream; if you believe it – you can live it. With this slogan I see myself as the next Miss SA, who knows, maybe I can be

the first Miss SA, proudly from Tubatse,” she giggled.
