HAZYVIEW – A manhunt is underway for two suspects who killed two people during a robbery at a garage. Mpumalanga police spokesman Col Leonard Hlathi said the police are looking for the suspects who robbed a filling station at a complex in Mkhuhlu on Monday morning at 03:00. He said they fatally shot a 32-year-old cashier and a 62-year-old client during the robbery.
He said the victims were inside the shop with other employees when two armed men entered the shop. “The gunmen held everyone at gunpoint, demanded money and cellphones. In the process, they fired shots towards the victims, fatally wounding them.”
Hlathi said the attackers fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and cellphones.
A manhunt for the suspects has been launched and police urge any person with information to contact Captain Robert Khoza at 082- 573- 5928.
