KOMATIPOORT – Police are investigating the circumstances that resulted in the tragic drowning of a two-year-old boy.
This was reported to the local police station yesterday morning. The boy’s mother Ms Anthonio Manyisa, alleges that she last saw her son playing with a puppy at the father’s work place, and soon afterwards she saw the dog playing alone.
She immediately began to look for her son, and to her dismay she found him in the swimming pool.-
According to Manyisa he was still breathing at that stage. –
She immediately called the domestic worker, who phoned her employee, Ms Simpson.
The child was rushed to the surgery of Dr Stronkhorst in Komatipoort where Dr Goosen attended to him. –
He said that by the time the little boy reached their office, it was too late to resuscitate him and he was pronounced dead.-
Police are investigating.
