Man detained for six months awaiting drug case

A man that was caught with drugs and a stolen vehicle is to appear in court.

NELSPRUIT – A man has been in custody for six months after he allegedly was caught with drugs and a stolen vehicle . Mr Zane Hossel ( 27 ) is to appear in the Nelspruit district court on charges of taking a vehicle without the owner 's consent and possession of drugs .

Hossel was arrested on June 06 and has been in custody since.

Bossies Community Justice operations manager Mr Jacques Meiring said that Hossel had taken his employer’s vehicle without permission. He had driven to Plaston where he met with an alleged drug dealer, a Mr Destiny Ordo (27) of Nigeria. Meiring said they traced the vehicle on the N4 and together with Hi-tech security, they apprehended and arrested Hossel.

He was found to have had R700 casha and two bags alleged to contain cocaine.

Ordo, who apparently who is here on amnesty from Nigeria,house was searched the same night. Hossel’s employer’s laptop was found, keys for another vehicle belonging to his employer, a credit card and a measuring scale used to measure drugs on was also apparently found.
