MARLOTH PARK – A new crime tendency is a cause for concern for the Komatipoort SAPS.
During the previous two months there has been an increase in cases of theft within Marloth Park.
The modus operandi in these cases is similar.
The cases reported normally occurred at night, when the occupants of the house were having a braai.
The suspect would allegedly gain entrance through an open door or window, while the occupants were outside. Commonly cameras, cellphones and laptops were taken and even if he was spotted, he would run away without being caught.
The Marloth Park community is urged to ensure that all the doors of the houses are locked and that windows are closed. This will minimise the occurrence of these specific crimes.
A request is also made that all suspicious people must be reported to the SAPS.
Furthermore the community is requested to come forward with any information that could lead to an arrest.
