Chase is on for suspected bank robbers in Hazyview

HAZYVIEW – The search is on for suspected bank robbers in the area. Lowvelder has been informed that the police and security companies are on the lookout for four suspects.

The Absa Bank in Thulamahashe was allegedly robbed this morning. The incident occurred shortly before 10:00. As far as is known, nobody was injured during the robbery, but it is believed that the robbers made off with a large sum of money.

The suspects are armed and fled the scene in a White Mercedes-Benz. They are believed to be travelling in the direction of Hazyview.

Sources said that road blocks are being set up on the road towards Hazyview in order to apprehend the suspects.
