NELSPRUIT – After falling down a 90-metre high cliff on the weekend, Mr Thabo Lubisi (28) was still in hospital on Thursday. According to Ms Robyn Baard, manager of client services and marketing at Mediclinic Nelspruit, he was able to walk and talk. He is in a general ward in a stable condition, she said.
Lubisi had not sustained one fracture on his body, after falling the height of about 30 storeys. He fell and rolled down the cliff at God's Window on Saturday morning. He was rescued during a four-hour operation because the terrain where he landed was difficult to navigate and poor weather conditions affected the use of a helicopter.
He has not consented to speak to the media.
