Stolen groceries, underwear and dagga – criminals stop at nothing, underwear and dagga – criminals stop at nothing

Man caught red-handed with trolley full of stolen groceries.

A suspect was recently caught with a trolley full of stolen groceries. This is according to ADT Northern and Nelspruit managing director, Mr Mike Kidson.

He said on October 27 at about 18:00, the thief walked out of a store at Riverside Mall with a trolley full of groceries he had not paid for.

Kidson said

Mr Patrick Mogale, the ADT security officer on duty at the shopping centre at the time, apprehended

the man in the parking lot.

The man was later handed over to the Nelspruit SAPS. “We congratulated officer Mogale for taking such swift action.”

According to another of the town's crime-fighting outfits, Mr Jacques Meiring of Bossies Community Justice (BCJ), they also discovered some interesting stolen items this past week.

Six suspects were apprehended on Friday with their pant(ies) down. They were in possession of a bakkie load of stolen underwear and dagga.

Also on Friday, BCJ was alerted by a vigilant resident of Acacia Crescent that he had seen a suspect break a lock and enter a property. According to the eyewitness, the person was wandering around his neighbour's garden.

After a few minutes, the man took a braai and a camping chair. This is when the neighbour confronted the suspect, who ran away, minus his camping loot.

BCJ located the suspect near Fig Tree Street and arrested the man. Two credit cards with different names were found in his possession.
