TONGA – The case of 21 year old , Mr Excellent Sengwayo, who was arrested by police after being found with unlawful possession of firearms, will be heard on November 22.
The information about the unlawful possession by the accused was brought to the police’s attention by members of the Langeloop community.
Police acted on the information and arrived at the residence of an un-expecting Sengwayo.
The accused initially denied the allegations brought against him, after prolonged questioning the accused led officers to the toilet, where two firearms were found.
Sengwayo is currently out on bail.
The provincial police spokesman , Sgt Gerald Sedibe, applauded this community and encouraged community members to make it a culture to report anything suspicious to the police.
Sedibe said “It is wise that whenever you see something suspicious you report it to the police so that they can investigate that particular person and see if he/she did commit crime,”
