ROCKY DRIFT – Two security guards were wounded in a cash in transit heist in Wilkens street earlier today. Mr Willie Visser and his brother Pieter were escorting a Nkomas Steel vehicle when they were attacked.

“We always escourt them enroute as they transport their cash,” said Willie, “we dont carry any cash in our vehicles but provide the service of a security escourt to our clients. Our client was driving in a Toyota Hilux double cab containing the cash. My brother and I were in two seperate vehicles. When we drove down Wilkens street we saw men jumping out of trees and running from the side of the road firing AK47 rifles at us.”

“I came off easy and suffered only a few bruises as the gunmen dragged me from my vehicle, but my brother is in a critical condition. I dont think he is goiung to make it as we heard them say he was hit in the pancreas and they might have to amputate his arm. We are praying for a miracle.”
