The White River Community Policing Forum (CPF) with the SAPS has launched a crime-prevention initiative.
SAPS patrolling officers and CPF community patrollers will leave “calling cards” on cars, at homes, businesses and private property which they find to be exposed to or at risk of criminal activity.
The community is asked to accept these notices in the spirit of which they are intended and not to take offence.
Mr Ryan Winter, White River CPF chairman, and Capt RM Mofane, White River station commander, would appreciate feedback from the public on how this initiative is received during the course of the next few weeks.
