CMDA Receives Award from KLCBT Kruger

KLCBT Community Service award

Casterbridge Music Development Academy (CMDA) received a Community Service Award 2013 from the Kruger Lowveld chamber of Bussiness & Tourism (KLCBT) on Friday, November 22. The Community Service award is given to non-governmental, non-political, non-profit organisations which focuses on the well-being, community outreach and development of the community. The award comes with a cash prize which CMDA will be putting towards its music development program.
“The CMDA is honoured to receive this prestigious award from KLCBT” says Mike Matthews, program director. “We accept the award on behalf of our all our beneficiaries whose talent, hard work and determination have produced such impressive results in the short time we have been in existence. In 2014 we will continue to focus on excellence in our music program. We would like to thank our donors; this award is a tribute to all, both large and small, who have been part of this journey. In 2014, we will also be focussing our efforts on 2Enable, our free ‘School in the Cloud’, to bridge the academic divide, and we hope this will become the commercial engine that will help the CMDA become more financially independent in the future.”
