On Saturday November 23, Mankele Mountain Biking hosted it’s final cross country race of the year. The course was fast, flat & slippery with a couple tricky sections. The youngsters got the racing on the go with Rene Ferreira winning the overall position. They did three laps of a 1.4km course. The race started at 08:30 with Max Knox the favourite to win the race. Max Knox, Andreas Kuhn & Mark Meyer set a steady pace from the word go. Mark had a big fall on lap 1 which left Max & Andreas out at the front for the remainder of the race. Max showed his true class when he picked up the pace on lap 4 to secure the win. Brett Coates was the first Master home followed by Peter Bouwer. Noon 2 Moon is next MTB race which is to be held at Merry Pebbles in Sabie. 10 hour relay lap racing at its best. For more information contact Brett on 082 774 5821.
