The local police are confident they will soon be making more arrests related to recent house burglaries.

MALALANE – The local police are confident they will soon be making more arrests related to recent house burglaries.

This comes after they successfully apprehended a suspect who appeared in court on Monday for possession of stolen goods.

Nkosimphile Magagula was arrested last Friday at KaMhlahla in a special tracing by the police, of wanted suspects.

Magagula’s case was postponed on Monday morning to Monday next week when he is expected to apply for bail.

Spokesman for the Malalane police, Const Bheki Nkosi, said they were expecting to make more arrests.

“This is imminent. We believe that this suspect will lead us to others.

“The arm of the law is long and it will catch up with them.

“We are in the process of locating more suspects who are implicated in this and other house burglaries in and around the town,” said Nkosi.

He also thanked community members for coming forward with information that helped to locate the suspect.

He reiterated the station’s appeal for people to report all suspicious movement

on their property during the day or night.
