MABOCHA – A handful of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) members in Ward 31 held a meeting at the Bump Jive sports ground on Sunday March 23. They vowed to bring change to the community, as they highlighted issues relating to service delivery that affected the area.
“Our village is in turmoil and it is our duty as the youth to fix it. Our first priority is to enquire about Mokobola Primary School. We heard that learners were sharing classes and some were forced to attend class in roofless buildings and in bad conditions. That calls for serious intervention, especially after 20 years of democracy, it is not a good story to tell.
“The road conditions in our villages are also a concern, there is no water and our villages are not electrified. We are calling for a imbizo at 16:00 on April 6 at the Bump Jive sports ground where we will be planning our way forward,” said member of EFF in the area, Mr Jeffrey Motswiane.
Motswiane said community members can contact him on 083-976-8181 or 079-067-7274 for more information about the imbizo.
The party also revealed it would embark on door-to-door campaigns in the Tubatse area to strengthen its support base. The meeting was spearheaded by Mr Jeffrey Motswiane, Mr Lawrence Lepelle and Mr Mapontsho Mashego and was one of the most recent meetings by the party’s members in the area.
