Week four updates of Selati Cup

Mawewe Cosmos were given an early shower out of the tournament when they were defeated 7-6 on penalties.

During this past weekend the remaining 34 teams who were yet to register their places in the last 64 of the TSB Selati Cup, did just that.

Naas United were the first team to reserve their place in the last 64 when they narrowly escaped a draw against Mbangwane Super Africa, when they won 3-2.

Naughty boys managed to acquire the only goal of the match, which was enough to take them through to the second leg of the tournament when they registered a 1-0 win against Boiling Waters.

Sambo Black B and SDN Green Mamba played to a one-all draw after 90 minutes of play, forcing the match to be decided on penalties. Sambo Block B grabbed the 51 spot in the last 64 with a 5-4 victory on penalties.

Mbuzini 707’s Selati Cup campaign failed to take off when they took on Mzinti Young Pirates, who recorded a comprehensive 2-0 victory heading into the next round of the tourney.

After a four-goal thrill which ended with two goals a piece between Block C Juventus and Mawewe Cosmos. Mawewe Cosmos were given an early shower out of the tournament when they were defeated 7-6 on penalties.

Magogeni Classic kept their Selati title chase going when they defeated SDN Eastern Transvaal 3-2, whilst Driekopies Young Wanderers title run was short lived when they were beaten 1-0 by Maduna Barcelona.

Khombaso Rangers marched onwards when they played to a one-all draw against Driekopies Gijima Magenge , and managed to find the back of the net four times to win 4-1 on penalties.

Jeppes Blessed Babylon proved that they had God on their side when they made it through into the next round with when a one goal difference over, Schuzendal Sundowns, the match ended 3-2 in Babylon’s favour.

Magogeni Try Again trashed Driekopies Juventus 5-1 in order to enter the last 64, whilst Black Burn United played 2-1 against Kamhlushwa City Stars.

Patel All Stars hosted Mangweni Rovers to a 2-1 defeat, while Madadeni Seven Stars flew past Roman Rangers with a 4-2 victory.

Ntunda Italy narrowly made it into the second leg of the tourney with a 3-2 victory over Mananga Celtics.

The match between Langeloop City Movers and Bhunya Sundown’s was stopped after spectators had assaulted the assistant referee, with only 10 minutes of the match remaining.

At the time City Movers were winning by 3-1.

The outcome of the disciplinary hearing of this match had not yet been received at the time of going to print.

Shongwe Highlanders went into the next round with their goalkeeper having a clean sheet, when they outclassed Swazi Messengers 3-0, and after a rematch between Kamhlushwa LTD and Mdladla Red Bucks, the first were rightfully given their place when they beat Red Bucks 2-0 the second time around.
