Murder suspects remanded in police custody

MALALANE – Two suspected murderers are still awaiting their bail hearing at Bosfontein Periodical Court. According to SAPS spokesman, Const Qwabe Nompilo, the two are still in custody after their attorneys failed to appear in court on June 3.

“The formal bail application date has been postponed to June 24, the suspects will remain in custody until then,” she said. Mr Bongani Ngcane (28) and Mr Caleb Ngomane (29) have been charged with murder, attempted murder and armed robbery after an incident on Friday March 14. They shot one man, who later died in hospital and injured another. During their first appearance on March 17, the Bosfontein community gathered at the court to support the grieving families.
