Suspect shot during gunfight in Graskop

An officer spotted the suspects still wearing their balaclavas, after which one of the suspects opened fire.

GRASKOP – On Friday, a male suspect was shot dead during an altercation with the police. It is alleged that three male suspects entered West Lodge and threatened the lives of German tourists. They were robbed of 15 Euros and other valuable items.

On the same day, the same alleged robbers targeted Fire Break Pub. After they held the pub attendant at gunpoint, they fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, a laptop and a phone.

Soon after, an officer spotted the suspects still wearing their balaclavas, when one of the suspects started shooting at the officer. In an attempt to defend himself, he shot and killed the suspect.
