Two alleged baby kidnappers withdraw bail applications

Kidnapping trial postponed to November 17.

MBOMBELA – The kidnapping trial of five suspects that have been accused of kidnapping a newborn baby from Rob Ferreira Hospital, was postponed in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court today.

Messrs Ananias Ndzimba (27), Julius Sithole (25), Phineas Sono (35), Aaron Nyoni (20) and Ms Portia Ncube (31) were arrested in connection with the kidnapping that allegedly took place on August 30.
Bail was granted to J&M security guard Sono, his wife Ncube and his nephew, Nyoni, were released on bail on September 22.
Ndzimba and Sithole withdrew their bail application today and will remain in custody pending the outcome of the trial.
The trial has been postponed to November 17 for further investigation.
