MASHISHING – Recently the Extension 9 (Marikana) residents were up in arms after TCM promised to provide a developed land in Majubane, Beverlly Hills and Dunuza.

This happened after 191 residents lost their RDP houses in the Extension 8 area, which they alleged municipal officials sold.

According to Mr Elias Mkhabela, former committee member, in 2012 after TCM promised to find an empty land and develop it before the Stasie residents can reside in, all of a sudden they were told that TCM gave them authority to occupy the land but they were surprised to find the Extension 9 area undeveloped.
