Safety Tips from the SAPD

Here is a few safety tips to keep in mind while shopping:

1. Never leave your bag or purse in the trolley while shopping. Rather carry it with you.

2. Never leave your bag or wallet unattended on the shop counter while paying for your goods.

3. Be aware of pickpockets and never carry your wallet in your back pocket. Hold your bag tightly when carrying it in town.

ATM Safety tips:

1. Never trust a stranger at the ATM. It’s better to get assistance from the people working inside the bank if you do not know how the ATM works.

2. How do you know that the person is working for the bank? All bank staff members wear uniforms and name tags. The security officer working outside also wears a uniform. Please do not trust strangers.
