LYDENBURG-The local police have invited the public to a Community Policing Forum (CPF) meeting at 17:00 on October 29 in the Lydenburg Cluster Office.

According to communications officer, Capt Mabokalake Mashabela, the aim of the meeting is to find solutions to the issues raised at the previous meeting.

The forum was created to strengthen the relationship between residents and the police.

“We need the community to work closely with us so that we can reduce crime in our community together,” he added. “We urge the residents to report any suspicious activity in our community, especially at night.

The neighbourhood watches and street committees have to be strengthened.”
