Technicians of Sembcorp Silulumanzi, the water service provider in Mbombela, swiftly responded to a serious water leak on Monday afternoon. Less than 30 minutes after the leak in Stinkhout Crescent was reported, they were on the scene.
A big pipe had burst under the pavement and water was gushing out from every crack. It was not immediately clear what had caused the burst, but water supply was switched off and workers started digging to find the problem.
