Rapist and human trafficker Lloyd Mabuza receives eight life sentences in prison

Evidence was lead to justify a lighter sentence imposed on Violet. For Lloyd, however, eight lifetimes behind bars will do.

GRASKOP – Judgement and sentencing was concluded in the case against two human traffickers and convicted rapists in the Graskop Magistrates’ Court.

Mr Lloyd Mabuza (60) and co-accused Ms Violet Chauke (20) have both been found guilty on five counts of human trafficking and four counts of rape in the Graskop Magistrate’s Court.

They held five girls captive and used them as sex slaves for Lloyd between 2008 and 2012. The girls were lured into captivity with promises of a better life and educational opportunities, which never materialised.

Lloyd received eight life sentences and Violet’s sentence of 20 years is suspended. She will be deported to Mozambique, her country of residence, with immediate effect.
