Season finished on a high note

The match was attended by local rugby fanatics who cheered for every line-out and scrum.

LYDENBURG- The local rugby season finished on a high note as the Gryskatte and Ohrigstad teams played their last match of the year at the Lydenburg Hoërskool sports field on Saturday November 15.

The match was attended by local rugby fanatics who cheered for every line-out and scrum.

The tightly contested match ended in a 10-10 draw as neither team showed serious intent to seal the match in their favour in the closing stages of the second half.

It was a friendly game in which both teams gave their all to the end.

The game was played for 30 minutes per stanza and not the normal 40 minutes.

John Harvey of Gryskatte said that he was happy with their final match. “We would like to thank everyone who supported us throughout the year, and can assure the locals that there will be more matches in 2015.”

Those interested in joining the club in 2015 can contact Harvey on 076-413-5128.
