Mines pave the way forward

LYDENBURG – In a quest to help the community, Mr Richard Aucamp and the people of Two Rivers and Mototolo mines started an initiative in which they are patching potholes and fixing the road.
This followed after several complaints by the public to the municipality that the potholes were damaging their vehicles and most importantly, were a safety hazard.
According to Aucamp they started the project because there was so much work to be done in Lydenburg.
“The big machines were brought in when we saw the need for technology to fix our roads, there’s so much work that still needs to be done,” he explained. Viljoen Street was one of the areas fixed recently but others in and around town and the mining areas will also be repaired.
“We would like to thank Barko for their involvement in fixing the roads in town,” he added.
