BURGERSFORT – Station commander, Col Rebecca Malatji would like to thank the officers at the local police station for their hands-on approach throughout the year, as well as the cooperative community members who gave the police information on dangerous perpetrators.

“I would like to thank each citizen for their cooperation. We would not have caught so many criminals if it had not been for the crime tips people had shared.

Thanks to you, the crime rate in Burgersfort has been reduced. Keep informing us.

“The community must be aware of the increase in rain we have this season. Do not let your children play near the river, also the traffic lights in town are crime hot spots, especially during traffic hours.

Keep your car windows closed and doors locked when stopping at them. Do not drink and drive this festive season, we will catch and arrest you. Arrive Alive, stay aware of your surroundings and take care during the festive season,” said Malatji.
