MBOMBELA – Motorists were shocked to see a BMW X6 on fire on the R40 across Standard Bank Riverside on Saturday. The driver was able to escape the luxury vehicle and the fire was extinguished by employees from surrounding businesses.
“Although I cannot confirm what the cause of the fire was, I do know that the car’s fuel injectors were replaced when it was serviced this past week and this may have caused the fire,” Mr Midas Ndlovu, the owner of the car, said yesterday.
