Fraud cases postponed again

The fraud trials of Mr Derek Poole continues in Hazyview and Gauteng.

MBOMBELA – The fraud trials of Mr Derek Poole are slowly but surely continuing in two different courts. The accused faces various charges, both in the Lowveld and Gauteng North. Last year he had skipped his bail and fled to KwaZulu-Natal where he was rearrested in September.

Since he was denied bail he had remained in police custody in Gauteng. Late last year his case in Hazyview was placed back on the roll and he was transported there routinely. He had recently reappeared on a fraud charge there. His case was postponed until March 12.

Poole also recently reappeared on fraud charges in the Alexandra Regional Court (formerly Wynberg).

He is due back there on March 16.

The local police had explained that the charge of fraud and assault Poole faced in Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court were likely only to continue once his court proceedings elsewhere had been finalised.
