Thief leaves calling card
Police have noted a rather smelly calling card is left behind by the suspect.
MALALANE – A thief operating in the town, believed to be part of a trio terrorising residents, leaves a very distinct calling card when breaking into a property. The man in question, who is still sought by the police, either has a weak stomach, a nervous disposition or simply cannot contain his adrenalin rush when stealing from the townspeople.
At various crime scenes, the police have noted a rather smelly calling card – human faeces – which is suspected to belong to one of the suspects! Residents who have suffered break-ins are asked to scan their garden for this tell-tale sign, which is consistently left behind.
The man apparently without fail, gives crime a distinct smell and the local SAPS should be informed if you fall victim to this robber.
