Four accidents over long-weekend serve as a warning: drive safely, be vigilant

Four accidents delaying traffic serves as a reminder to road users: increased traffic requires increased vigilance.

MBOMBELA – Two people died in an accident on the N4 between Mbombela and Malelane last night.  This was the fourth accident recorded on the N4 between Gauteng and Maputo that delayed long-weekend traffic.  On Friday, two people died in a multi-vehicle accident near the Alzu petroport between eMalahleni and Middelburg.  Two less serious accidents were also reported in the vicinity of Ngodwana.
Trac has urged road users to take care on the roads as increased traffic requires increased vigilance.
Ms Solange Soares-Nicholson, Trac media and communications manager, explained that traffic flow is expected to increase on the N4 four today.  “This is the last day of the long weekend and many motorists will be traveling in both directions.”
Tomorrow’s print edition of Lowvelder will provide a comprehensive long weekend traffic report.
