Young men arrested in murder case
Police are calling on all young people to stop destroying their futures through the abuse of alcohol and violence.
TONGA – This follows the arrest of two 22-year-old male suspects for the murder of a patron from a local tavern in Block B.
According to a media statement issued by the Tonga Police Station, it is alleged that the suspects were at the tavern with Mr Mduduzi Nkuna when a fight broke out over a girl.
The two suspects then allegedly stabbed him in his chest.
Nkuna was rushed to the Tonga Hospital where he was later declared dead.
Police investigated the matter and arrested the men.
They are expected to appear in the Tonga Magistrate’s Court soon.
The Tonga Police Station commander, Brig Velisiwe Mdaka appealed to the youth to stop killing one another and
to also stop involving themselves
in crime.
