Mpumalanga four make it their business to claim title
These eight women were vying to go through to the final round of the Businesswoman of the Year competition.

MBOMBELA – Leading businesswomen in the province were honoured by the South African Council for Business Women’s at Protea Hotel on Friday evening.
These eight women were vying to go through to the final round of the Businesswoman of the Year competition.
There were 24 candidates originally and after five rounds of judging eight remained. Only four women could go through to the final round
Ms Diana Janse, vice-president of the SACBW, shared a few words of encouragement with the women and reminded them that they were all winners.
“Never give up and keep on coming back and entering,” she said. It sounds cliché, but this was a very difficult and hard decision for the judges.”
Ms Sarah Koster, director of Mica Nelspruit was the guest speaker for the evening and she shared her words of wisdom. Her words inspired and she encouraged every woman to take risks and to never give up on a dream.
The key message of the evening was to never give up and to keep on trying each year until you succeed.
After a delicious meal and beautiful music by the lovely Natasha C, the finalists were announced. Ms Lazyja Steyn, Ms Nyeleti Mabaso, Ms Linell Schmidt and Ms Rae Kirton will be heading to Pretoria on September 12 for the final gala evening where they will compete against the other provincial finalists.
